This is mainly a way for people who would be willing to help with creating a welcoming environment at the Funeral Mass. You would learn how to set-up for Mass and be the welcoming face people truly need at times of sorrow and grief. I hope to expand the ministry to accompanying people who are in various stages of grieving in the near future. Call the Parish Office if interested.
While Bible Study is on a hiatus, I hope to have that back in business soon. The group had been studying various books of the Bible, not necessarily in succession.
This is a two-fold ministry where men can come to deepen their knowledge about the Catholic faith, and have a forum for socializing with others who seek the same interest.
Ministers of Care are exactly what their name implies. This ministry takes communion to people who are in hospitals, nursing homes, and to those who are homebound. There is a four-week training for this very specialized ministry, giving of one’s self for the sake of taking Jesus Christ in his most-blessed Sacrament to those who cannot be at church with us in person
If you or someone you know are contemplating being baptized Catholic, or if you were baptized but never was educated to continue receiving your Sacraments of Initiation, this is the ministry to send them to. Also, if you are interested in helping others on their journey to Catholicism, this is the ministry to be involved with. The A is for adults, the C is for children. Before people can be baptized or receive their Sacraments, they need to be taught – catechized. They need to learn about what the Church believes about God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and the Church. Maybe you just want a refresher for your faith while helping someone else on their journey, come.
